Garden Advisory Service

With around 30 years of working with herbs and old, tried and true vegetables, I have had much practice at designing these types of gardens for many people.

I am now available to advise you on setting up a herb garden or potager garden to suit your needs and property. These types of gardens can be grown in very small containers or on larger areas. Raised beds are a great way to maximise garden area:

I personally have a 12 metre by 24 metre raised bed potager, which has been established for 5 seasons now, and I am delighted with the amount of vegetables and herbs that it supplies.

Costs: $50.00 per hour plus mileage if applicable- I would be happy to visit if you are in the Whangarei area.

Please fill out my QUESTIONNAIRE FORM  to give me an idea of what you are after: using this it would take me 1-2 hours to give you the best advice depending on the size of your planned garden.

Any herb plants or vegetable seedlings that I supply would be with a 10% discount and I am able to advise on the best places to go to source other plants that may be needed.

Herb Recipes

Mix 2 tbsps of mustard powder, 2 tbsps flour, 1/2 tsp salt and 2tsp sugar together. Blend with vinegar to make a smooth paste, and add 1 tbsp of very finely chopped herbs.

Use horseradish (hot!), marjoram, parsley, sweet marigold or sage.

Let mature for 2-4 weeks before using. Serve with appropriate meats.
