Comfrey root is again available  in 500g bags- this wonderful plant is a great barrier for kikuyu, makes a great foliar feed, and lots of other uses- this herb is covered in my book.

Herb Recipes

2 cups wholemeal flour,
4tsp baking powder,
1/3 cup of oil,
1 beaten egg,
1 cup milk and water mix,
pinch salt,
2 tbsp finely chopped herbs (thyme, sage, rosemary or chives),
1/2 cup currants (or almonds or sunflower seeds).

Grease 12 muffin tins. Mix dry ingredients. Whisk all the rest except herbs and currants. Mix into dry ingredients. Add the herbs etc. Spoon into muffin tin. Bake at 190 deg.C for 10 minutes. Serve by splitting open and putting butter in.
